Officers: Ric Sadler, President
Jim Moore, V-President
Jim has a Masters Degree from Amber (Amberton) University in
Human Relations and Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Sam Houston
State University in Police Science and Administration. He was a Dallas Police
Officer from November 6, 1974 until he retired December 27, 1994. During his
tenure with the police department he was assigned to the Special Operations
Division, Traffic Division/Section 1981-1994, serving as a Senior Corporal of
Police-Accident Investigator (A&I); A&I Field Training Officer; Fatality
Accident Response Team Member, and Academy Instructor instructing collision
investigation and reconstruction courses.
Michael
Yosko, Secretary.
Michael has been an active
member of TAARS since 1990, and served as Director of Region IV before being
appointed to fill an un-expired term as Secretary in 1995. He is now in his
third term as Secretary. Michael retired from the Port Arthur Police Department
in 1999 and is currently self employed. He is still an active instructor in area
Citizen's Police Academies and holds ACTAR accreditation #271.
Larry
Self,
Treasurer. Larry has been a Regular
Member of TAARS since June 1988. He
is a member of the Board of Directors, having served as the President, Vice
President-Elect, Treasurer and Region II Director.Mr. Self has been involved in the educational field of Motor Vehicle Collision Reconstruction and Occupant Safety since 1987, with instructional design and training experience with the Dallas Police Department-Traffic Division, Law Enforcement & Security Training Division-Texas Engineering Extension Service-The Texas A&M University System; GE I-Sim and Simulation Technology Solutions. Mr. Self retired after 24 years as a police officer from the City of Dallas
Police Department-Traffic Division. The Accreditation Commission on Technical Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) has
accredited Mr. Self with Accreditation #947.
He also obtained certifications from The Texas Motor Transportation
Association – National Motor Fleet Safety Certification program and the
National Child Passenger Safety Technician program, sponsored by the American
Automobile Association. He
has worked as a consultant with Complete Accident Reconstruction Service, Inc.
(CARS, Inc) since 1987. He
is also a founding co-owner of United Transportation Training, Inc, which was
formed in December of 2003.
